My 444 started acting up yesterday - I think it's a fuel flow issue but am looking for opinions.
Tractor started/ran fine then quit while I was going straight up a fairly steep hill. Rolled down, restarted, everything OK. Then, about an hour later, when doing brush mowing, it started to cut out, initially this happened on uphill runs but eventally on level ground too. When it quits, I give it a few minutes and it fires right up but won't keep running for long. I can prolong the engine quitting by pulling full choke - but it eventually dies.
Any suggestions n where to start? Clogged line? Fuel pump? A related issue is that fact that not so long ago the fuel line was replaced and it's a rubber line - not the hard line. Filter shows fuel being fed - at least as far as the filter. Thanks.
