Lee: How good was the hydraulic output on those Ms? I never had much experience with belly pumps.
I can see your point, clearly it is pounds per square inch, however farm implements just aren't that heavy to over burden a farm tractor with good working hydraulics. I suspect had they rebuilt the M hydraulics, it would have lifted the 7000. My Farmall 300 would lift a 7000 with ease, and it was no better than dad's H with belly pump on the 31 loader. In fact the IH dealer was stymied 3 years trying to make the 300 as good a the H on that loader. Finally Dad got fed up and bought a Cockshutt with a Wagner and front mounted pump for loader work, mainly because he wanted the 300 in the field.
