F12 did have the straight steering shaft, but an update was offered for the slanted shaft like on the 14. F12 brake handles were shorter. Also there was no breather on the valve cover, and I think 3 nuts on the valve cover as compared to 2 for F14. Seat post was also shorter on the 12. The Hydro lift was available for both.
