I just got the tractor Saturday at an auction. I did a power wash and everything seems really good except the power steering. I've never replaced the hydralics; YET! Changing the fluids was the first order of business after I get it all ready for a good paint job, including filters etc. I haven't jacked up the front end, but I noticed the Bolster Pivot Pin was in bad shape and that was my first priority. Ordered a new one today. When I have it up off the ground, I'll check the steering with no weight on it. I doubt it's mechanical though, because the steering wheel turns and turns and turns when it's COLD WEATHER (snowed saturday), and works fine when it was 60 degrees today. It's HARD, but the wheels connect when you turn RIGHT, doesn't do so well when you turn LEFT. Or vice-versa, I can't remember, but it does seems to work better in one direction than the other.
