That was well written and was probably better than the shop manual. My neighbor has a late model Suburu and was trying to change the air filter and he had the shop manual. He said he had been 3 days trying to get to the filter. He called me and I walked over to take look. There was a piece of hose on an elbow about 4 inches in diameter on the intake manifold that connected the air filter assembly. There was a hose clamp connecting the hose to the elbow. I loosen the hose clamp and slid it back off the elbow and the whole filter assembly was out.
I told him the person that wrote that procedure had probably never seen the engine. This man has a PHD in math from the University of MD. Hal
