If the engine is in good shape it is worth that. Engine parts are high priced. 58 models are a little rare. Not many made that year. There was a little more than 4000 row crop Farmall models made. That does not include utilities. The GD 193 is the most fuel effeciant engine I have ever ran in a tractor this size. Also has plenty of power and hold up very well. I have seen one bring 5000 before. That was a very good one with new tires and paint. I would not take that for mine. As for the starting, mine starts good in most weather. If it is above 35 degrees it starts on its own every time with very little cranking on it. They will handle 3 X 14 inch plow in most places. I would check that TA before I gave 2500 for it though. If he doesn't want you to, I would suspect it may be bad. Those front weights are worth 3 or 400 bucks.
