Most of the logs and trees I have been cutting have been blown over 4 -5 years ago. We had a small tornado go through and blew some big ones over like dominos. All but one still have the root balls attached. It has sure been a mess, but I have heated the house with just the tops for the last few years. There are still trees I haven"t been able to get to yet! Dad handles all the dealings with the standing timber. He has a few cut every 10-15 years or so to pay the taxes. Every single tree buyer has wanted that cherry! BAD! Dad doesn"t want it cut and I can"t blame him, I like the old stately thing myself and hope it doubles in size. It is like the trees that were here in the early 1800s.
