I sold these logs to a saw mill. He has a standing order for 1000 Board ft a month to a guy who makes surveyor stakes out of ash. They sure would have made some great lumber though! Nice and straight deep woods tree. This tree had been struck by lightning 15-20 years ago and then 4 years ago had the top taken out by a funnel cloud or small tornado. Tree resprouted , but I took it down as it would just end up hollow.
