The 1 tablespoon of washing soda is correct. The site I found this is www.fboerger.com. I tried this site some time ago and it wasn't working. I have a copy of his narrative which I would send if you like, but you have the information correct on amount and hookup. I've been using this for a few weeks and it's absolutely amazing. I use a piece of tin roofing as the collector and clean it morning and evenings and use it until it has fallen apart as the holes in it get larger. I even cleaned the engine after all the parts were out of it. It had some rust inside and it cleaned it nicely.
It's difficult to find washing soda. I get mine at Cub food stores in St Paul. I was in Missouri last week and the fellow I talked with is doing this but gets WS from Illinois or online. I also found lye, but that's more difficult to get. I added lye to the WS water, but doesn't improve it for me.
