Hi Ken, if it is not lack of spark then when it stops I would open the fuel line at the inlet to the carb and check for good gas flow. Should flow the full of the gas line. Could be junk in the bottom of the tank. My brother had a deceased lady bug floating around in the tank of his 684 and it would block the outlet line.
