Andy I have done test over the last few year with both PB, tranny fluid, brake fluid and WD40 and have found that tranny fluid will remove more rust then all of he others. Now yes this is just takeing stuff I have laying around and who knows how much rust is on what but tranny fluid seems to remove more then the others in less time. But again I have no way to measure how deep the rust is or how bad things are stuck ETC ETC ETC. Sort of like Myth busters they can't do it 100% as to what the people say did because there are to many things that can happen because of freaky things
