When I was ten I needed to help out on the farm and kicked the tailgate shut on the truck while the auger was still running... lost my right foot and will pay for it the rest of my life by being somewhat crippled up. Keep those guards in place!
Another story, had the transmission cover off a Farmall A in the garage to clean it out. Lined everything up and put it back together. Used the crank to start it up and it was locked in reverse, thank God. Tore the muffler off and scraped up the door (lucky the door was open, too). Only permanent damage is my pride, luckily.

Today's Featured Article - Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony.
