If it is dead stock now. Shave .080 off of the head Put in 350 high altitude pistons/sleeves (firedome) That is as big as you can go without boring the block and going sleeveless (not a good idea) Use a 350 intake and carb (SM or 400 carb can be adjusted to fit as well) 350 cam or grind electronic ign with a few degrees extra advance (with premium fuel) High ratio rocker arms A five angle valve job (do not polish the intake) Match the intake to the head Tune it on a dyno Spend bucks for plastic trophys and enjoy.
