Gene, try syphoning the gas in the tank to half way. Sounds like yours has the problem mine has, a leaky needle and seat in the fuel bowl. An F-12 will run with a bad fuel pump if the tank is full as it will gravity feed at that point. I have a feeling that when full and the pump working it isn"t hard for the fuel to bypass the leaky needle valve. My 35 F-12 runs like a top with the fuel no more than 2/3 full. fill it and the black smoke rolls out! If my tank is more than half full, I also have to park it pointing up hill or it will flood out over night since the fuel shut off also leaks a little. The carb is the exact same for kero or gas with the exeption of the drain cock for the kero models. The high speed mixture screw has to be leaned out slightly when running kero. I have ran mine on both fuels.
