9-9-X would make it a late 52 casting. I know that all SMTA's were sold as 1954's. The cast code on the torque housing of mine is 7-22-Y. Y is 1953. So if 1954 parts were being cast in July 1953 then 1953 parts (early super H's) were probably being cast in September 1952. It could be the correct block. I'm not 100% sure on this, (someone correct me please if I'm wrong) but didn't they stop making the industrial versons at some point? I've never heard of a Super I-4 or a Super O-4, but come to think of it, I've never seen a 53 I-4 or 53 O-4. Also, how about a 300 orchard, or a 300 grove or anything like that. There is a 460 grove, though. Sorry if I got a little off track there. Hope you know what I'm getting at.
