I don't know how similar these are to JD, having never been a JD person. I think maybe I've heard of wrapping the axle on the end to get the second wedge loose, but never seen it done. I traded my 986 in seven years ago so it's been awhile. It always had the special clamp tool with it though, so I never restorted to other than standard proceedure to get the wheels moved.
