Mike the cover comes off and no welding is needed. I have one on my mowing H that i could measure. I will get it tommarow morning if you don't have the answer. It covers the nose mounts used on pickers and other impliments. Check ebay for one. I know the M and the H are diffrent. the m is 30% bigger. But if you cant find one i might be able to. 90% of all h's are missing this cover. They do make after market ones but i belive you need to paint. jonnny2006
