There is one instruction that you have left out. The "L" spade is used for the idiot light and also energizes the alternator. You need to run a hot wire to the "L" spade and you will be good to go. You can just run a switched hot wire to the "L" spade and you will have to turn it on for a short time each time you start the tractor. If you leave it on, after you have shut the tractor down it can run down the battery. I use a one way diode that only allows the juice to go one way and will not let a back feed. You can get these at Radio Shack for about $2.00 and you will not have to manual switch the wire.
