The F14 had a breather on the valve cover, but the F12 had just a small breather pipe from the head. There was also a difference in the valve cover studs. I think the early ones had 3 and later 2, but would have to look. There is also a differnece in the hoods, but dont know if that falls back to the late F12. The early ones had the sides folded part way under, and the later ones had a bead like the center bead to prevent bending.
