You don't turn the pump up unless you really don't like the pump. This is what I have heard from both tractor pullers and farmers who had them. Most say it won't make it 300' if you turn it up. As for power. A MD doesn't have all sorts of power. At least they don't have much at the tractor pulls around here. However, they will run super cheap and lug well.
