that's unfortunate. (and a dumb idea from at least the end user's viewpoint) there were some melted wires under the speed tranny cover which i've repaired today, which had me questioning everything. there was other evidence of a torch being there related to my shifting problem earlier, so i know there wasn't an electrical issue.
before i buy a whole assy, definitely will check bulbs, wires, etc. then maybe see if my EE friend might want a project :D
right now (and before i patched the wires) the symptoms are no hazards, and with the turn signals: one side no lights, and the other the opposite glows solid.
