Well - I dug in today and took the right side brakes completely off. There was no oily/sticky substance in there so that can be ruled out (I don't have remote valves - I don't think)
I took sandpaper to the outside circumference of the linings (pad-like things). Pads or linings seemed to be in good shape with lots of wear left. Stamps on parts show the replacement parts were put in there in 1991.
The only real noticeable thing I saw was the balls - someone had put never-seize or anti-seize on the balls and unfortunately - they had done just that - seized. The never-seize was extremely gummy and had what I would consider high friction properties.
I cleaned the balls off - cleaned out the ball wells with brake cleaner and then greased the balls. Put it all back together and voila! No more grabby brakes - thanks to all of you for your help!
