Matt, I was glad to read that you had a good day and you are proud of your tractor, those are the things that matter most. Also, some folks, both exhibitors and the general public, don't alway understand Danish/Open/Face-to-Face/One-on-One judging. As a certified Wisc. county fair judge, I always welcome ?'s from exhibitors and anyone in the audience. Any good judge should encourage questions, if time doesn't allow - unfortunate - but some fairs/situations don't, I make it clear several times during my judging, come up to me later and I will make the time to talk with you (the exhibitor). Judging should be a learning experience and believe me, it works both ways! Enjoy you project!
