I agree with CNKS in that I do not think it was white primer. I have a 50 C, but not in the serial range of the demos and it never had any white primer anywhere I could ever find, and I have owned the tractor since it had original paint, and has had many scratches over the years. Careful though, as my dad thought ours might look good with a white grille so he painted the grille white when we repainted the tractor. We soon discovered how bad it looked and quickly repainted it back red over the white. This was probably around 1970. Obviously some might find the white and think it was a demo although not much paint is left on mine. On my todo list.
