You will need the sliding gear and the countershaft gear (someone correct my terminology). Likely available only from salvage, unless you can find the tractor; they are not common. The speed of 2nd is not affected. IH only produced a high 4th and a low first, no other gears were affected. Come to think of it, I believe what you want is the low-reverse combination. Look up the part mumbers and diagram at www.caseih.com. That site is somewhat incomplete, but I think it will show that.
