Barry,As far as I am concerend its the best clutch there is.My regular was stuck bad we pryed them apart and sand blasted each plate.The front plate actually acts as a brake that stops the motion of the transmission.I had mine relined and it works as a brake for the tractor.I beleive you can replace it with a new style clutch and pressure plate.These clutches were designed to out last the tractor jimmy
