Lance: According to the Farmall owner's manual, the rear wheel weights weigh 145 lbs. each. One weight per rear wheel would add 290 lbs. According to the owner's manual, 3 sets (870 lbs.) can be added to the rear axle. I use one set and water in the rear tires. This adds about 1200 lbs. to the tractor. Since I have a Farmall (IH) 1566, I made a front weight bracket for the "M". I usually run 6 weights (about 600lbs.)on the front end when lifting a heavy 3-pt disc or implement. When I am not lifting a heavy implement, the front weights are easily removed. Also, during the late 40's and 50's, aftermarket weights were made for these tractors. I have a set of rear weights which weight about 275 lbs. each. These weights require a forklift or overhead lifting device to install. Good luck on your tractor.
