I'd have a 10yr old bush-hogging in my 13,000 holland any day, if my parents allowed it. What is he using the money for? I would, if he was my son, tell him to give me what he earns, and at the end of the summer we'll use that money to go buy a tractor and restore it. Even if he makes $40 and its a $300 pile of junk that needs $600 to even look like a tractor, and then $1000 to restore, it would be a good learning experience.
