FENDERS

Hello,
The thread below about fenders got me wondering,
did all tractors (farmall ) come with fenders.
Or were they a option .
As big as some of these are you would think that
IH would put them on just as a safety issue?
I used to have a Ford 8n and the fenders were handy to get up on the tractor and hold while
running along.Now I catch my self reaching out for nothing or bounce my hand off the tire.
Or was it a price issue.
