Why change the wires when it ran first. They were in the right order or it wouldnt have ran. Now that you say they are correct it wont run at all so they must have been ok at the first. Sounds like the mag or the dist has been reinstalled incorrect. So they changed position of the wires on the cap to get it to run. Pull all plugs turn engine over with the crank till #1 is on top dead center then see where the rotor lines up on the cap. Mite have to remove the dist or mag and turn it 180 deg then #1 will line up on the cap.
