If you cut the hay with a sickle mower there is no teddying involved. You simply let it dry, 48 hrs or more, when it is ready to bale you rake it, and then bale it right away.
I don't think you can dry out small squares that were baled too wet. Use the old three twist method to test if it's ready to bale.
That's the one advantage of a sickle mower over ahaybine is your hay dries faster, and you don't have to use a tedder on windrows that got rained on.
You need to go look at somes bales being punched out by the NH 273/275 series balers. At 2000 dollars or so, new one at 14K can't do any better.
