F4 mag

My mag was working good,I installed new points and condencer,and Ive got good fire and tractor runs good,however the mag wont cut off.I have cleaned, scraped,checked with conunity meter and every thing is grounding except the points.when i ground the points with a screw driver the mag will not fire which is proper.but the points wont ground by turning the point cover.Does the points have a grounding tab,or could they be after market,and not made right.This mag cut off and all i done was change the points and now it wont
