You'll hear pro's and con's either way, I personally run hy-tran in my M and SM, better lubrication in the colder months. New seals are a plus to keep it in and you might hear more gear noise, thats the only drawback. It won't hurt a thing, some people say it will, but then some will tell you to use 30w non-detergent oil in the engine because thats what the 1940's manual said.
