I have a 50 C myself. My dad had that one when I was born, so it is pretty much part of the family. I use it mostly to cut hay with a #31 sickle mower. With the 7' bar and if it is sharp I can probably cut with about anything, and in small areas I can probably out manuever a lot of the large stuff, and use half the fuel. I know the guys with the big cabbed stuff can't get within 10 ft of a fence row. I still have the cultivators, 2-14 plow, disk, and of course the mower. Used to pull a McCormick #45 baler with the C for many years baling about 60 acres a year. Could be mostly water in the tranny. I had a broken drain plug on mine, and when I finally got it out I drained out a mess of black oil, and water. Transmission sounds much better now with new oil, but I really need to give it another change as I know it had a lot of contaminates left which are in the new oil. Good luck with the C. They are a great little tractor.
