The second one, the one that does not work on yours fits perfectly on mine and is identical to the one it replaced. My M is a 1947. If yours is a Super it will have the prefix SM, not FBK. I do not have a Super. But, among other differences the choke rod attaches to the choke lever next to the block. On an M the choke rod attaches to the lever on the outside of the carb. Most of that type of parts are interchangeable.
