Farmall 400 Diesel Engine Determining Engine Number

I recently purchased a Farmall 400 diesel. The former owner drove the tractor to my house from his which was about 12 miles. When he arrived he shut the tractor off and we visited for awhile until he wife picked him up. The I drove the tractor around the yard a few times later that evening and then parked it. A day or so later I started degreasing and pressure washing the tractor so I could see where it was leaking, and then I would be able to fix those problems first. When I went to start the tractor up after the cleaning I had problems. First when I turned it over the tractor was switched over to diesel (Which I wouldn't think this would cause a problem with the tractor). I noticed antifreeze coming out of the exhuast pipe. I opened the drain valve on the carb and antifreeze came out (Which I thought was strange). Then I looked at the radiator and found that it was black in color. I owner told when he was using the tractor that he noticed that gas would drain out of the small fuel tank. I dismissed this as a leaking sediment shutoff valve which I could see that it was leaking. So after reading on this forum I believe I one of the following conditions 1. It was not shutdown properly after the long drive. 2. It may be a blown head gasket. 3. A cracked head. I called a parts dealer and he says that list to types of engine models for that tractor a (A251) or (A267) I am not sure how to determine which one I have. Number on my tractor block is D-26419389. Any help you guys can give would be appreciated.
