Could possibly be the float sticking the carb. letting it flood out. I have had that happen a few times. My 301 Deere will do that every now and then. Usually starts back after awhile or I just let it set overnight. Whack the side of the carb lightly with a small hammer or wrench and run some B-12 through the gas to see if that will help.
