Just had the same problem with my H. When I took the head off most of them were up 3-4 threads above the deck. My problem may be a little different though. I figured in the end that my engine was originally distillate and they changed the head to gas, which I belive is 1/2 taller head, but used the same studs. I ended up buying all the longer size studs, like the two long ones that the throttle linkage sits on, for all of them. But I think you can get away with leaving them up a few threads. I know I've read that a lot of people have had to. Can't understand why this is such a common problem??? B
