Bob, You will probably not believe what I am about to tell you but I have used this trick many times and it always works! First wet down some pieces of rag or paper. Push the wet paper into the hole and fill it. Get a punch or dowel that will easily fit through the I.D. of the bearing. The punch can fit very sloppy in the bearing and still work. Next, strike the punch with a hammer and drive the paper behind the bearing. Continue to add paper to the hole and compact it with the hammer and punch. Eventualy the compressed paper will push the bearing out of the hole.
