Hi Tom, when I did mine I cleaned it up the best I could with a wire wheel and painted it with hi temp manifold paint. I bought it at O'rielys but I have since seen it a Walmart. It has been on there for more than 5 years and still looks just like in the photo. I was surprised it worked so well. And I have plowed and also pushed lots of snow with this tractor and it still has not burned off. A neighbor or mine made me a stailess pipe that goes from the muffler to the manifold. It still looks great and I think that pipe would be very hard on paint. Paul
