I will add to the other info that in my experience, the shaft and bushings may be causing as much of the difficulty as the lobes themselves. The drive housing has a plug for a grease fitting, but it is sometimes never greased. As the shaft wears the bushings go letting the cam wobble. Try moving the shaft sideways, up and down, in and out. if you can see it move at all, it will drastically change the point setting during operation. Bushings can be purchased from Motion industries that are twice as long as the old one they then run on a new part of the shaft, and are a good fix. JimN
