Interchangeable governors??

Hey everyone, I am in need of some advice on a governor for a M. I am in the process of changeing governors, so I robbed one off a parts tractor. There is a little diffrence in the two govoners. The one on my tractor that I want to replace has 17 teeth on the gear. The one I robbed has 16. The weights also have diffrent casting numbers. One is marked A1 and the other is B1. The only other diffrence is that the one I robbed has a stud and nut coming out the back side of the housing that the other one is lacking. Will this governor work for me, will I have to swap gears??
