If it has a accessory gear set, it will have a lever or cable to control the gears. Several companies made what are called 9 speeds. They have the original five speeds in the trans, and an additional 4 more between 4th and fifth. They are kinda cool but not terrably useful because 90% of tillage is done at less than 4th gear speeds. JimN
