First time I have ever seen anything like that if that indeed is what you have. I would think if what you have doesn't work, it would be rather simple to return to the orginal assuming you could find the required parts in a boneyard. Been a long term since I drove our old MTA, but I think the hydraulic controls may be similar to the M or at least adaptable. If old parts aren't available there surely must be some new hydraulic valves/controls available that you could certainly make work. I'm sure others will correct me if I am wrong.
