Sounds like a good story, stick to it. You never know when that ring will show up. I had given mine to my girlfriend in High School and she lost it. Turned up 30 years later at her Grand-Mothers in the flower bed when The Grand-Mothers son was planting new shrubs. I had my initials in it and he put two and two together and gave it back to me. Lost one in an Ice Maker one time too for a week. Cold weather makes your fingers shrink. Like John said, look in the gloves first.
