part for SuperA plow

I just acquired a plow that mounts on my 51 Super A. It's the kind that attaches to the drawbar, when the drawbar is inverted from its normal position and attached in the forward position. I need, though, the rod, or whatever, that goes from the rockshaft arm down to the drawbar that allows for depth control of the plow. I'ld like to make one. Could somene out there in Farmall land tell me what the length of the this part should be. Also, in the drawing that I have, it appears to show that the part is itself adjustable in length. Is that really necessary? (It would make it harder to manufacture!) Thanks, for whatever advice I might get.
