On the Temp question, I know these tractors run cold even with a known good Tstat. In my opinon the bypass around the tStat is too big and allows too much coolant to go around it. It may have been a cheap insurance design when Tstats were mediocre and failure prone. I have thought that blocking 80 % of the bypass port would be a good Idea, but I am in MN, and the tractor is in IN. Putting a Tstst in the upper hose, and clamping it in place with a SS hose clamp on the outside of the hose would make it warmer. (don't use two Tstats, and do put it in close to the water outlet at the head with the radiator to this side sign where it belongs. JimN
