There were a couple utility models (the ones that looked like a square nut on end of axle hub) where they put a cast hub on a steel axle. Ford did that back when. New seals & O-rings don't help for very long. Wheeler-dealers use newspaper in there somehow and pepsi to put a glaze on the piston rings and coke so the clutch won't slip for a few hours and then to the auction. And they say works as it should.
