To start with, i doubt if your going to experience 45 hp from a C-153. I bought a 504 with a farm, 1,500 hours, and just had a fresh engine rebuild. It had trouble matching my old 35hp Farmall 300 on a 3x16 plow, and believe me that old 300 had seen better days at the time.

What you should look for? Good question, try starting with drive line parts and you should have a good selection of final drive castings as well as torque tubes. I've broke those castings with my 130, stock C-123 engine. Oh, by the way, that casting breakage occured pulling with front end very light or off ground.
