Hi Joe, my brother has 454,495,684,& 3230. The 454 and 495 are 3 cyl D179, the 3230 has 4 cyl D206 and the 684 has 4 cyl D239. The 884 has 4 cyl D268. These tractors all share the same UK build frame and transmission and German Neuss built engine. The D268 is just a bored and stroked D239. These engines are very reliable. My brother has over 15,000 hrs on his 454 and it still runs great. The only over heating problem we had was on the 454 and it was solved by steam cleaning the rad core. When the rad was clogged one of the noticeable things was the lower rad hose would be sucked flat by the water pump. Good reliable engine worth spending a few $$ to fix. My 2 cents JimB
